eight years as a midwife, catching babies in the hospital,

after giving birth to my own beautiful children. Having a
natural birth was very important to me. I am the mother of
four children and each of their births was empowering and
life changing for me in a special way. I love being a mom!"

Delilah Ray, Childbirth Educator
Delilah Ray teaches the childbirth classes at Family Centered
Maternity Care one weekend per month. She has been a CBE and
doula since 2004, but a supporter and advocate for natural
childbirth among her peers for many years.
"After a 'typical' medicated hospital birth
with my first child, I was convinced that there had to be
more to it than what I had experienced. With my second child,
I chose an unmedicated birth at a birth center, and I was
hooked. Finally, with my third child, I had a midwife-attended
homebirth. If I could, I would labor ten more times, just
for the sheer joy of it! Instead, I channel my love for the
cycle of pregnancy, labor, birth, and babies into helping
other women achieve the pleasure of a natural, empowering
birth." For more information, see Delilah's website
